ANDREAS MURKUDIS and DRIES VAN NOTEN
are kindly inviting to the viewing of a carpet artwork by Alexandra Kehayoglou, commissioned by Dries Van Noten for his Spring /Summer 2015 Paris Fashion Week show.
Alexandra, an Argentine artist, follows in the family tradition of her Greek grandparents who migrated to Argentina carrying with them this textile tradition of rug and carpet making. She developed a whole new artwork for Dries, a 48 meters long (4 parts 12 meters each) and 3 meters wide carpet.
The venue is the former KAUFHAUS HERTZOG built in 1908 at Petriplatz on Spreeinsel. Today the developer ID & A is refurbishing this almost forgotten heritage building. In 2016 it will be transformed into rental appartements and commercial office spaces.
Saturday the 2nd and Sunday the 3rd of May
from 12pm to 6pm
A reworking of the rushes from the Dries Van Noten
women Spring /Summer 2015 fashion show by Atelier
Impopulaire, Giulio Bursi and Pia Bolognesi will also be screened.
